This tourmaline comes from Malawi, which sits adjacent to Mozambique, well known in the gemstone world. The Northern part of Mozambique is blessed at a geologically critical junction where the Mozambique and Zambezi gemstone belts cut through the country. This produces a highly mineralized hotbed producing some of the world’s rarest and most valuable gemstones. This stone displays an orange/magenta pink dichroism, rarely seen in gemstones. This location only produced a handful of these stones last year, and so far, have not produced any this year.

The ring is platinum and 18k yellow gold. It is made through lost wax casting and hand-fabrication. It is a one of kind design and features some unique Art Deco hand-engraving.
