ABOUT NS JEWELRY

NS Custom Jewelry was founded by Nolan Sponsler, a designer and trained goldsmith in St. Louis, Missouri. Seeking to create pieces that will last for generations to come, he has been drawn to precious gemstones and metals.

Formally a student of exercise physiology and a high level collegiate baseball player, Nolan found a new path, forging a new medium of creative expression through the sculpture of jewelry. Much of Nolan's inspiration derives from visions of the future, coupled with the wisdom and artistic expressions of the past.

Nolan is committed to the traditional methods and techniques used by goldsmiths for centuries before him. He feels that the human touch is the key element to the process of self-discovery and creative development, not only for himself, but also for those who share the admiration for his works.

“The pursuit of happiness is not enough. We’re responsible for pursuing something deeper, something meaningful to bring forth the Devine spirit within us all. Similar to listening to a symphony, with all of the different layers, a perfect harmony emerges that produces a beautiful song, and there is an inherent instinct within us to which the music speaks. This experience holds true when one sees and connects with a gemstone or a piece of jewelry.

Even our individual human experiences have many different layers creating our reality, and each layer is a responsibility of ours to harmonize. With this harmony, arises our sense of meaning. As we orient ourselves, begin investigating that which intrigues us, and start putting that which we are investigating into proper order, we find this sense of meaning emerge, and continue to reveal itself as you investigate further. I fell into jewelry 4 years ago, at a time when I felt completely lost, with no sense of identity or responsibility. As I investigated this art further, I adopted new responsibilities, and soon after saw through the necessary steps to put my life back in order. We are all responsible for being more than we are, we owe it to ourselves.” - Nolan Sponsler
